04Transportation Support & Parking Staffing

The loop between the remote lot and the front gate.

When guests park away from the venue, the shuttle becomes the experience. NDL coordinates staging, loading and dispatch, and supplies the field teams who run both ends of the loop.

Transportation support

Shuttles fail at the curb, not on the road.

Loop times are usually fine. What breaks is the loading zone: unclear queues, buses idling in traffic, guests crossing behind vehicles, and nobody with authority standing at the door.

  • Shuttle route coordination

Remote lot to venue loops planned around walking distance, road access and realistic turnaround time, with headways set against the arrival curve rather than a flat interval.

  • Staging and loading zones

Dedicated staging that keeps idle vehicles out of live traffic, with marked loading positions, queue management for guests and a pedestrian route that never crosses the bus path.

  • Dispatch support

A named dispatch point in radio contact with the lots, the venue and the drivers, tracking loop times and adding or holding vehicles as demand shifts.

  • Accessible transport handling

Accessible loading positions and boarding assistance coordinated with the operator so guests requiring them are not asked to wait through multiple loops.

Vehicle supply, licensing and operator contracts are arranged by the client or their transport provider; NDL coordinates the ground operation around them.

Staffing

Roles, and what each one is accountable for.

Parking Director
Owns the site plan on the day. Single point of contact for the client and venue, authorises lane and routing changes.
Supervisors
Run zones. Brief their teams, hold positions, escalate early, and correct drift before it reaches the guest.
Lot Attendants
Direct vehicles at assigned positions, fill blocks in order, and keep aisles and pedestrian routes clear.
Guest Services
Answer questions at the friction points: pedestrian crossings, shuttle stops, accessible routes and the walk back after the event.
Transportation Staff
Manage staging, loading order and boarding, and keep dispatch informed of real loop conditions.

Scalability

Teams sized to the shift, not to a package.

Single-day event
Compact team, one director, positions consolidated at high-traffic points.
Multi-day festival
Rotating shifts with handover briefings, overnight equipment security and daily closeout.
Recurring venue program
Consistent core team across dates so site knowledge accumulates instead of resetting.
Surge or overflow support
Additional staffing layered onto an existing in-house team without changing their structure.
